Tannis came up to Utah for about a week and a half to visit me and to dance in Stadium in Fire, which I was a dance director of. A LOT happened while she was here...
Took some pics in my boss' backyard.
Yeah. She's got a creek running through it. It's beautiful
Went to the farmers market in SLC
with Amanda and found this little coffee joint. Only in Utah.
Had LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of Stadium of Fire practices.
Met Glenn Beck
right before the dress rehearsal the night before the show. He's the NICEST guy. We talked to him for a few minutes. The next night he walked right by us before the show started and wished us luck. Love him.
Took Tannis to the ER during dress rehearsal.
She started not feeling well the night before, but was feeling TERRIBLE that night. I felt so bad for her. She was freezing cold when it was over 90 degrees outside. She was shaking and her arms and legs were tingling. She could hardly walk. She was breathing extremely fast. And she was dizzy. Wanting to get her better for the show the next day I decided that she had to get some antibiotics or something in her. They thought she might have Strep...but alas, the test came back negative and said she just had a virus and that she just needed to continue to drink lots and take lots of Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Thanks alot, Doc.

I was praying soooooooooooooooo hard that she would get better for the show. Not only so that she could dance, but so that I didn't have to. They usually have alternates, but they were all used up and so if Tannis couldn't dance I would have to cause I already know the dance so well.
But, by some miracle, Tannis was able to perform. YEAH!!!!
My parents flew up to Utah
to see the show and watch Tannis perform. They came Saturday morning. We were all really worried about Tannis being sick and not being able to perform. Well, right before the show Tannis was feeling much better, but my mom started feeling really sick. Like stomach cramping TERRIBLY sick. She was in THE WORST pain. So what did she and my dad do? Drive here...

Not even kidding. My mom was in such pain that she couldn't even leave the ER to come see Stadium of Fire and Tannis dance in it. Ugh. I felt so sick knowing that my parents spent so much money to fly up here and paid $100 on tickets for the show just so that my mom could get sick and go to the ER. I just can't believe that she had to go the day after I took Tannis there. That's gotta be a record for my family.
But Tannis and I did get to go to Stadium of Fire.
This was my third year being a dance director for it and it was by far THE BEST show that I've seen. And it was THE BEST fireworks show I've EVER seen. This year was also awesome because my dancers got to do 2 different dances...hence the two different costumes.
Saw the Jonas Brothers perform at Stadium of Fire.
Dude. Those boys can rock it. I'm pretty sure if I was between the ages of 8 and 13 I would have the hugest crush on all of them.
We got to be on the field right behind the VIP seats. It was awesome.
Went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House.
By Monday Tannis and my mom were feeling much better so we got to go walk through this temple. It was beautiful! Afterwards we drove up to Salt Lake and had dinner at Lion House Pantry and took some pics around Temple Square.

Sounds like you had a crazy week! I am wishing I would have driven down to SLC for the show now. What happened to your hair? When did you do that? I feel so out of the loop? Does it just look darker in the pics? I haven't seen you in a while so I am probably just behind. Sre you going to be in AZ when we are there?
that's EXCITING!! you always do the funEST things :) and whatever I know you have a crush on the jonas brothers haha.
Man...as much fun as I had here I really am kind of sad that I missed my 4th of July in Provo. Looks like you had so much fun! Sorry that your mom got sick...but I'm glad she's feeling better!
